This is a super fun part. Watch ‘Logo a gogo’ Founda video. There are so many resources out there to help create a logo, however Founda recommends Canva - www.canva.com - an excellent free resource that will also help with the social campaign later on. Entrepreneurs will struggle with names for their business; again, their research will come into play here for some inspiration. Go through colour choice and meanings, fonts and their effects on attracting their potential customers.  They will need to decide if they will include a slogan or an info line as well. Founda recommends that they create 3 logos with differing elements - then get feedback from fellow entrepreneurs and potential customers to land on one main logo. Remind them that the business name is/can be different to a product/service name. 50min

This is a great moment - you will get the entrepreneurs to ‘soft launch’ their business to the rest of the class. You need to create a ‘sales board’, and write up the business names. This is an important step, as some of the entrepreneurs will potentially have competition right there in the classroom! This is why their USP is so important from Module 2 - who is going to come out on top by the end of the course?

Watch ‘branding’ Founda video. The entrepreneurs will need to complete the branding pillars worksheet. As one of the richest in the world, Jeff Bezos said, “Your brand is what people say about you when you’re not in the room”. The following link is helpful in explaining the branding pillars -

Finish the worksheet. Go back to the logo and change as necessary. Have entrepreneurs clearly define their brand identity system which is important for upcoming customer profiles/target buyer persona. Canva is invaluable with this. Update sales board as entrepreneurs change their business name. Have the entrepreneurs figure out what their vision and mission is, and to align this to their branding of their business. This is an important step, as it will help identify target market/audience/buyer. 45min

Have the entrepreneurs state to the class what their vision and mission is, as per the pillars. 10min
